Product Description

Tweed has a proud and illustrious history, having previously been used exclusively for country wear. It was especially popular among workers in the early 1900s, whilst Coco Chanel has been credited with giving the fabric its glamorous edge. This material has stayed popular until today, and if anything has enjoyed a resurgence in recent years. Indeed, tweed has never gone out of fashion, with its tightly woven strands providing incredible insulating warmth. It’s also good at giving any outfit a real structure. Our York ladies tweed coat in green is made from the purest new wool with a Teflon coating and Alcantara trim. This versatile, elegant garment has a single vent at the back and will set any outfit off to perfection, whatever the occasion. With a chocolate brown velvety collar, there are three dark brown buttons down the front of the coat and the tasteful green colour is set off by a discreet red and blue check design. The coat is finished off with a grey lining. The smart, flattering York jacket has a back length varying from 34” to 37” and we offer it in sizes XS to 2XL.
