Originally worn as a more decorative garment in nineteenth century France, the gilet is a versatile piece of clothing which can be worn over just about anything, from a long-sleeved shirt to knitwear or a T-shirt. And as well as adding warmth without restricting arm movement, they are especially useful between seasons, when you need another layer but it’s too cold for a jumper or shirt but too warm for a jacket.

Product Description
Our Lyn Ladies’ Leather Gilet in brown is made from hard-wearing cow hide that’s been waxed by hand to give it a slightly two-tone appearance. But while it is a durable, long-lasting garment, it also feels naturally soft to the touch. There is lots of trim stitching on this gilet for extra detail.
The elasticated rear waistband on this gilet ensures a comfortable fit, while there are a couple of front pockets giving easy access to those daily essentials. Meanwhile there’s one internal pocket which fastens with a button. At the back, adjustable tabs are closed with a button.
With sizes ranging from small to extra large on this garment, the length down the centre of the back ranges from 28” to 30”.
